Director of IT, Application Developer/Software Architect - Position Responsibilities

Serving as the primary team member for all IT strategy, application development, software development, network systems and management/maintenance of all IT related initiatives and programs.
Based on company objectives and needs, develops, engineers, programs and manages all web application projects and IT infrastructure activities.
Designs and develops all enterprise applications which may be hosted and maintained in a Web environment.
Develops, creates, modifies and maintains all applications software and specialized utility programs; including databases, application programs, GUI and customized client solutions.
Analyzes client and end user needs and develops software solutions.
Designs software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
Will design and maintain databases within an application environment.
Will manage company and client websites including design, develop, deploy and maintain activities as well as performs testing and quality assurance of web sites and web applications.
Convert project specifications and statements of problems and procedures to detailed logical flow charts for coding into computer language.
Develops and writes computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information.
Analyzes functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities.
Develops codes, tests, and debugs new software or enhancements to existing software.
Performs maintenance on existing software applications and systems; shares knowledge of business applications with overall company team.
Works with the core team and clients to understand problems experienced with software and then resolves issues as identified.
Resolves client issues with applications and software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
Prepares all required documentation related to company applications, software, systems, databases and proprietary information.
Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
Continuously enhances applications and software to reduce operating time, improve efficiency, or improve user experience
Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
Protects operations by keeping all company and client information confidential, secure and archived.
Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring company leadership, working with end users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing.
Secures system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation.
Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets and monitors expenses.
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for company objectives and helps achieve company revenue and client satisfaction goals.
Work directly with sales, marketing, client services and technical support to ensure collaboration and coordination between teams.
Demonstrate a high level of integrity, purpose and determination to meet company objectives
Design applications and software with the goal of assisting with growth of client accounts for incremental revenue and services penetration
Define, build, implement and continuously improve proprietary applications, GUI and other software.
Assist leadership team with development of new service offerings, pricing strategy, application and systems requirements.
Represent our company IT team and strategy at industry events, client meetings, and vendor meetings.
Ability to present to leadership for status updates, operating presentations and application/software reviews.
Must have mature judgment and the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field and 3 years minimum full-time, paid experience coding, testing, debugging, implementing and maintaining applications, databases, websites, GUI.
Experience working in an environment that is focused on serving client needs and developing custom solutions based on client needs.
Basic understanding of the wireless phone industry.
Basic understanding of business process outsourcing.
The ability to work in a fast pace, dynamic, semi-structured environment where your initiative, drive and determination help build a company.
The position requires occasional business travel to client sites, wireless industry events and vendor sites.
