The purpose of this position is to support the development, sustaining and continuous improvement of world-class processes and systems that will allow the POHC Operations team to meet its customer commitments. The Senior Process Technician provides advanced technical support for troubleshooting, sustaining and improving production processes and equipment, meeting overall equipment efficiency (OEE) goals, training other technicians and production personnel, and supporting engineering (with activities such as process/equipment/automation changes, product component changes, new product/process introductions, etc) and supporting other technical production sustaining activities as required.

Your Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot complex production problems to root cause, drive the short term and long term (permanent) resolution of the problem to minimize production downtime. Communicate details and resolution of production problems with the engineering team
Be available to support production work schedules as required
Support TPM by developing, sustaining and continuously improving preventive maintenance program(s) for equipment/processes in areas of responsibility to achieve OEE goals - Develop, Document, Train, Monitor
Support Engineering by:
Defining and implementing continuous improvement of processes and process controls on assigned production line(s) in support of continuous improvement projects, and within the guidelines of the change control process
Constructing and testing experimental assemblies to facilitate product launches or component changes
Assisting with process characterizations, qualifications and validations.
Perform other duties as required by Engineering Management to meet the objectives of the Process Engineering and Production teams

Your Profile:
AA in an engineering-related field is required, or equivalent training, experience and demonstrated abilities
5+ years experience in technical support of automated production equipment/processes in a high volume, manufacturing environment, and 2+ years experience in engineering support or equivalent training, experience and demonstrated abilities
Ability to read and understand machine assembly drawings and mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical drawings and schematics is required
Ability to methodically and effectively troubleshoot mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical systems, including the logic controllers, PCs and other automation used in the processes, is required
Ability to define/document/perform/train effective PMs and other process improvements to eliminate recurrence of known root causes of downtime is required
Ability to analyze and modify industrial automation, control systems, PCs, networks is required
Working Knowledge of the following is required:
Machine vision and lighting techniques
Industrial controls & wiring practices (per WAC, WISHA and other regulatory codes)
Servo-based motion controls or control theory
Interfacing techniques analog, digital, serial
PLCs, PCs, Windows 95/NT; Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to balance/prioritize workload
Must be able to move about freely and work safely in a manufacturing environment, and be capable of lifting 40 lbs, and carrying it over 10 feet.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required, including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
CAD, CMM, and/or machining skills are preferred
