Responsibilities:
The Product Manager is responsible for developing and implementing 1-2 year marketing plans for NutriDense silage applications in the USA and Argentina.
Build business plans to increase brand awareness and market demand for NutriDense silage
Manage pricing, promotion and seed distribution channels in order to achieve sales goals.
Work closely with the Sales Agronomy Manager, Grain Marketing Product Manager, Sales and Marketing Communications Manager and Director,
Trait Marketing & Sales.
Provide guidance to Product Development groups for silage applications
Participate in product advancement meetings for new NutriDense products
Recommend and manage marketing budgets to achieve objectives.
Work closely with the Sales group and NutriDense licensees to establish production forecasts for NutriDense silage products
Work with production and logistics personnel to ensure that adequate supplies of products are available and shipped to fulfill customer needs and meet financial objectives
Travel with Field Sales personnel to establish working knowledge of regional markets,issues,and establish strong customer relationships. In addition the candidate will work closely with the Head, Trait Marketing & Sales and the NutriDense Product Manager with our client’s office in Argentina to support and execute a business plan for the growth of NutriDense in the Argentinean dairy silage market. They will build a working knowledge of the Argentinean corn seed market, including customers, competitors, cooperators, influencers and potential distribution partners.
Qualifications:
BS or MS degree in Agronomy, Breeding, or Animal Husbandry, or related degree
Minimum of 5 years experience in the corn seed or dairy industry
Demonstrated knowledge of the use of corn silage in the production, harvesting, ensiling, and feeding of corn silage to dairy cows Understanding of the use pros and cons of various forage components of dairy cow rations.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Knowledge of Microsoft Project preferred
Strong interpersonal skills
Understanding of Spanish preferred, but not required
Our client recognizes Institutions of Higher Education that areaccredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.
Salary of $70-90,000
